WHAT IS THE NCAA ELIGIBILITY CENTER?
The NCAA Eligibility Center is a part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and is responsible for evaluating the academic records of prospective college athletes in order to determine their eligibility for participation in Division I or II athletics as a freshman. Without receiving clearance from the NCAA Eligibility Center you will not be eligible to participate in any Division I or II athletics or receive athletic scholarships.
Before you can begin the process of taking official visits to prospective universities for your sport, you must be registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center and submit your academic records and other pertinent information, along with a fee. After receiving the approval of the Eligibility Center you are well on your way to becoming a college athlete.
